60% of Indian Parents Feed Their Children Milk to Help Them Maintain Their Calcium Intake - Godrej Jersey's Milk Report

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Godrej Jersey conducted a study among Indian parents to learn why they give their children milk in light of today's Children's Day celebrations around the country. While some emphasised the importance of maintaining physical fitness and controlling weight in addition to providing energy and serving as a meal substitute, 55% of parents in urban areas and 60% of parents nationwide stated that they feed their children milk to maintain calcium intake. Creamline Dairy Products Limited, a division of Godrej Agrovet Limited (GAVL), a diverse food and agribusiness conglomerate of Godrej Group, sells products under the Godrej Jersey brand. YouGov created and carried out the poll. Under the title "Bottoms Up…India Says Cheers to Milk!," the extensive study, which included consumer feedback from Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, and Kolkata, offers insightful information about changing consumer preferences and market trends. The poll attempted to ascertain the parents' preferred milk-based items for their child in addition to their justification for giving milk. Commenting on the findings, Bhupendra Suri, CEO, of Godrej Jersey stated that numerous studies conducted in India and throughout the world have demonstrated the nutritional benefits of milk for kids. Rich in calcium, phosphorus, vitamin A, and high-quality protein, it is commonly considered essential for developing infants. In light of this, their consumer survey's findings about the reasons why parents favour giving their children milk are positive.
