News Desk, News Nation 360 : Under the direction of "Hindu Satkar Samiti," a religious event called "Baba Bhootnath'er Sannidhye Ek Sondhya" was organised at Kolkata's "Sri Sri Bhooteshwar Temple," one of the Shaiviteerths. At today's special puja and religious ceremony, guests included Sanjay Bakshi, a senior leader of the Trinamool Congress, Vijay Upadhyay, one of the municipal representatives of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, and Swami Sarbaharananda Maharaj, the head of the Ramakrishna Mission Ashram. It is important to note that the residents of Kolkata lovingly refer to the presiding deity of the "Sri Sri Bhooteshwar Temple" as "Baba Bhootnath." While talking to the reporters, Sanjay Roy, a member of the Treasurer's Council of 'Hindu Satkar Samiti', stated that Special Puja, Aarti, Bhajan, and Kirtan have been organised inside the temple starting
this afternoon in front of the invited visitors in honour of the event. Folklore claims that an Aghori monk from Varanasi founded the sacred linga of "Baba Bhootnath" near the Nimtala crematorium on the east side of the Ganges river in antiquity and instituted daily worship by Aghori customs. The Aghori ritual, which is based on Shaivism, has been bathing the father in ashes from the crematorium pyre every morning since the beginning. Only one temple in Kolkata, West Bengal, bathes the sacred Shiva linga in ashes each morning.
