A Strategic esports Partnership is formed in India between Vi and Team Vitality

News Desk, News Nation 360 : The State of India Gaming Report 2022 projects that by 2027, the Indian esports market will be worth $140 million. Esports as a category have become more well-known in recent years, particularly since they were first offered as official medal sports on numerous international sports platforms. Vodafone Idea (Vi), one of India's top telecom providers, and Paris-based Team Vitality, a globally recognised esports organisation, have announced a long-term partnership to strengthen the esports ecosystem in India in an effort to capitalise on this expanding consumer segment. Vi is well-known for having a significant influence on the mobile gaming market. Vi Games on Vi App provides users with access to a large selection of ultra-casual games. With this partnership with Team Vitality, Vi now hopes to intensify its esports coverage in India. Vi Games recently made a move into the esports market by organising well-liked free-to-play competitions for titles such as Asphalt 9, Clash Royale, Free Fire Max, and Call of Duty: Mobile. The two brands hope to provide opportunities and exposure to both esports fans and gaming enthusiasts with this first-of-its-kind collaboration. The partnership covers a wide range of activities, including gaming events, content partnerships, brand sponsorship, and one-of-a-kind experiences on an unprecedented scale. Vi customers will be able to take part in esports and get special access to some of the well-liked Teams Vitality competitions and teams as a result.

Through this partnership, aspiring esports athletes from all over the nation will have access to professional players, master classes, meet-and-greets with esports talent, and a plethora of other opportunities. Speaking on the occasion Randall Fernandez, Managing Director, Team Vitality India stated that they are thrilled to declare their collaboration with Vi. They are excited about their journey together as they stand at the cusp where technology will propel gaming to new heights. They're going to break new ground in the esports industry, open up new opportunities for talented gamers around the nation, and leave a lasting legacy. Locally, the all-Indian Call of Duty: Mobile (CODM) squad from Team Vitality placed among the top 16 teams worldwide to earn a spot in the CODM World Championship 2023, which took place in Atlanta, Georgia, on December 15–17. Previously, the organisation employed well-known game content creators with a combined YouTube subscriber base of 20 million, including Nischay "Live Insaan" Malhan, Rachit "Rachitroo" Yadav, Nitin "Classified YT" Chougale, Shagufta "Xyaa" Iqbal, and Pratik "Aurum" Mehra.
