Acropolis Mall Celebrates International Women’s Day 2025

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Kolkata's Acropolis Mall celebrated International Women's Day with a lively event that embraced the topic "Women in Our Lives" through several interesting events, creative displays, and moving remembrances. One of the main highlights of the event was an all-female painting workshop, conducted by renowned artist Eleena Banik, that offered a platform for 15 talented students from renowned art colleges like The Government College of Art & Craft, Rabindra Bharati University, and The Indian College of Arts and Draftsmanship to showcase their appreciation of womanhood through paintings. Employing bold brush strokes and vibrant hues,

the members, such as Sukanya Das, Indrakshi Bhattacharya, Ankita Ghosh, Rozina Khatun, Paramaita Sakar, Mitraja Roy, Srestha Pal, Shreyasi Paul, Souparna Chatterjee, Susmita Sadhukhan, Ananya Halder, Megha Bapari, Poulomi Das, and Nisha Mondal, poured out their inner perceptions and conceptions onto the canvas, thereby bringing forth artworks much admired by art lovers and observers alike, and the students spoke of how glad they were to be acclaimed for their works of art. Subhadip Basu, Corporate GM, Hospitality & Mall, Merlin Group, shared his thoughts on the occasion and stated that since women are the ones who created their civilisation, they are extremely proud to honour their outstanding accomplishments with an all-female art workshop. Their Women's Day celebrations, which include exclusive deals, complimentary makeovers, and sincere appreciations, demonstrate their dedication to gender equality and female empowerment. Acropolis Mall supports universal rights and opportunities in line with this year's worldwide theme, "Rights, Equality, and Empowerment," making sure that every woman and girl can help create a more equitable future. Acropolis Mall added to the celebrations by introducing a Wall of Inspiration, where guests wrote sincere tributes to the women who have influenced their lives. The festivities also included a soulful performance by singer Isha Rajbanshi, chocolates for female guests, and an interactive competition for women.
