News Desk, News Nation 360 : Air India, a subsidiary of the Tata Group, has formally revealed the orders it previously placed for 90 single-aisle A320 Family aircraft and 10 A350 widebody aircraft. Additionally, for its expanding fleet of A350s, it has chosen Airbus’ Flight Hour Services-Component (FHS-C). In addition to the 40 A350 and 210 A320 Family aircraft that Air India bought in 2023, the most recent aircraft order is already listed in Airbus' 2024 orderbook. With six A350-900s previously delivered, Air India currently has 344 Airbus aircraft in its order book. Air India's expanding A350 fleet will operate more efficiently and dependably thanks to the FHS-C services package. With this deal, Airbus reaffirms its status as the world's largest provider of A350 power-by-the-hour maintenance services. The orders for the aircraft and services are a component of Air India's continuous fleet modernisation initiative. The most advanced and effective widebody aircraft in the world, the A350 leads the 300–410-seater class in terms of long-haul flight and can travel up to 9,700 nm in any sector. Modern technology, aerodynamics, lightweight materials, and the newest generation engines are all part of its clean-sheet design, which offers a 25% decrease in fuel consumption, operating expenses, and CO₂ emissions in addition to a 50% reduction in noise when compared to competitor aircraft of the previous generation. Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons and Air India, stated that they see a strong case for Air India to build its future fleet beyond the firm orders of the 470 aircraft made last year, given that India's passenger growth is exceeding the rest of the globe, its infrastructure is greatly improving, and its youthful population is becoming more globally minded. With the help of these 100 more Airbus planes, Air India will be better positioned to grow and fulfil its goal of being a top airline that flies from India to every destination in the globe.
