News Desk, News Nation 360 : Within two and a half months of deploying its AI-powered spam-fighting solution, Bharti Airtel, India's first spam-fighting network, has identified an astounding 8 billion spam calls and 0.8 billion spam SMSes. The AI-powered network has effectively identified around one million spammers daily by utilising this sophisticated algorithm. Over the past 2.5 months, Airtel has notified nearly 252 million unique customers of suspicious calls, and it has led to a 12% decline in the number of customers answering those calls. Six per cent of all calls and 2% of all SMSes on the Airtel network have been identified as spam. Interestingly, 35% of spammers utilize landlines. Delhi has the highest number of incoming and outgoing spam calls. Andhra Pradesh, Western Uttar Pradesh, and Mumbai follow this. Concerning SMSes, this list is headed by Gujarat for origin and Mumbai, Chennai, and Gujarat for reception. The percentage of male customers is major, at 76 per cent, while 48% of all spam calls happened to the age group that ranges from 36 to 60 years, 26% to the age bracket of 26-35 years. Spam activities are the greatest between noon and 3 pm with a 40% reduction on Sundays. Devices priced at 15,000 to 20,000 rupees accounted for 22% of spam calls. Airtel is the first in India to successfully adopt AI-powered technology to prevent spam calls in real-time, addressing the needs of customers concerned about spam calls. Through this project, customer confidentiality and comfort are ensured for a new definition of security encompassing the entire market.
