Airtel's AI-powered Network Solution Eliminates Spam Calls and SMSes for Customers in West Bengal

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Customers in West Bengal have seen much-needed relief thanks to Bharti Airtel's new AI-powered spam detection technology. In just 28 days since its debut, this innovative telecom solution has effectively detected 8 million spam SMS messages and 154 million possible spam calls in West Bengal. The free solution is now automatically available to all West Bengal Airtel mobile users without requiring them to download an app or submit a service request. Airtel's AI-powered spam protection system uses a proprietary algorithm to accurately identify and classify calls and SMSes as "Suspected Spam." This system analyzes various parameters, such as caller usage patterns, call frequency, and call duration, in real-time. By cross-referencing this data with known spam patterns, the system flags suspicious messages. A dual-layered protection system, consisting of network and IT system filters, processes 1.5 billion messages and 2.5 billion calls in just two milliseconds. Additionally, the system detects malicious links and anomalies like frequent IMEI changes, providing customers with a comprehensive defence against spam and fraud threats.  Commenting on the launch, Ayan Sarkar, Chief Executive Officer, West Bengal & Orissa, Bharti Airtel, stated that customers are increasingly experiencing an increase in scams, fraud, and negative communications that might make them feel vulnerable as connectivity grows. Airtel is pleased to present a ground-breaking AI-based solution that proactively detects alleged spam calls and messages to counter these online threats. Airtel is improving the security of its 24 million West Bengali clients by utilising advanced technology, which contributes to a safer communication environment for everyone.
