
News Desk, News Nation 360 : In a milestone step to propel research and education in Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS), the Bhaktivedanta Research Centre (BRC) and the Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi (IIT Mandi) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enable interdisciplinary research, curriculum development, and manuscript preservation, specifically targeting the Bhagavad Gita, Puranas, and other important Vaishnava texts, with a view to further scholarly exchange among faculty, students, and researchers and embedding traditional IKS in modern academic setups through collaboration in manuscript preservation, AI-based Sanskrit textual analysis, and developing academic programs in IKS, including online courses in Vedic philosophy, while IIT Mandi will contribute academic infrastructure, administrative support, faculty expertise for IKS research, targeting AI-based Sanskrit textual analysis, manuscript digitization, interdisciplinary research, academic recognition, and contributing to online courses and faculty training, while BRC will provide its experience in preserving and sharing Vedic and Dharmic texts, including rare manuscripts, with leading roles in curriculum development, manuscript digitization, and creating international academic collaborations in IKS. Dr Sumanta Rudra, Academic Dean of BRC, shared his thoughts on this collaboration. He stated that this collaboration with IIT Mandi represents a

significant turning point in BRC's efforts to advance IKS academic research. They are thrilled to support the endeavour and work together to further this field's study and instruction. This partnership is important for fusing contemporary academic research with Indian Knowledge Systems. This project intends to provide access to Vaishnava and wider Vedic traditions worldwide inside modern academia by fusing IIT Mandi's technological and research capabilities with BRC's proficiency in textual preservation and Vedic philosophy.
