Dalmia Bharat Achieves its Target of 49.5 MTPA Production Capacity by FY25

News Desk, News Nation 360 : With the start of commercial production of an extra 0.5 MTPA at its Rohtas Cement Works (RCW) plant in Bihar on March 30, 2025, Dalmia Bharat Limited (DBL), India's top cement producer, has met its FY25 objective of 49.5 MTPA. This strategic expansion raises the plant's overall capacity to 1.6 MTPA at an investment of Rs. 96 crores in the current integrated unit. DBL's long-term goal of increasing capacity to 110–130 MTPA by 2031 is in line with the completion of Line 2, which further solidifies the company's dedication to enhancing its market position in the Eastern area. Dalmia Bharat has a large presence in the eastern part of India with plants in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Odisha. This will provide the company with a stronger foundation to better cater to the rising demand for infrastructure in the East, including areas such as roads, railways, and airports. This is also expected to open up job opportunities and stimulate the economic development of the region. Dalmia Bharat believes in new concepts, eco-friendliness, and delivering high-quality cement products to cater to India's growing infrastructure needs. Commenting on the expansion, Puneet Dalmia, Managing Director & CEO, Dalmia Bharat Limited, stated that their expansion in the East is a reflection of their firm belief in the possibilities for growth in the area. This accomplishment supports their long-term goal of strategic and sustainable expansion. He is happy to report that, by FY'25, they had successfully met their goal of 49.5 million tonnes, which is another significant milestone in their expansion process.
