News Desk, News Nation 360 : Recently a non-profit dedicated to promoting and conserving Hindustani classical music, Dedhia Music Foundation (DMF), proudly revealed the winners of a renowned talent search for up-and-coming Hindustani classical vocalists Yuva Sur Sartaj 2024. The grand finale of the Hindustani classical music competition featured 10 exceptional finalists, divided into two age groups. Bhakti Pawar, aged 22 from Pune, emerged as one of the winners in the younger age group (15-22), captivating the audience with her soulful renditions. In the older age group (23-30), Yogita Raikar, aged 29 from Kudal, Maharashtra, impressed the judges with her mastery over classical nuances and secured a win. These talented finalists were selected through a rigorous audition process across India, representing various states and cities. Their performances during the finale showcased the diversity and richness of Hindustani classical music. The winners of the Yuva Sur Sartaj 2024 competition were announced in a heartfelt moment. Bhakti Pawar from Group 1 and Yogita Raikar from Group 2 were crowned the champions, receiving a cash prize of ₹1,50,000 each and an additional ₹1,50,000 for mentorship. The 1st Runners-Up, Anjali Gaikwad and Hiranmayee S received ₹1,00,000 each and an additional ₹1,00,000 for mentorship. The 2nd Runners-Up, Nandini Gaikwad and Jayashree Patil were awarded ₹50,000 each and an additional ₹50,000 for mentorship. Kaushiki Chakraborty, a renowned artist in India shared her thoughts on the finalists that these youthful vocalists' brilliance has rekindled optimism about India's musical legacy's future. Their commitment to and love of Hindustani classical music is evidence of the timeless appeal of the traditional arts. Seeing how they are preserving the essence of Indian music is incredibly encouraging, and she does not doubt that they will be instrumental in determining its direction going forward.
