Desun Hospital Honours Prominent Female Workers

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Desun Hospital honoured the commitment and tenacity of its female staff members with several events in honour of International Women's Day. The hospital recognised exceptional female employees who have persevered in carrying out their responsibilities with dedication and quality despite major life obstacles. These staff members received the "Desun Wonder Women" award for their steadfast commitment. Desun Hospital commemorated International Women's Day by awarding ten outstanding female employees the "Desun Wonder Women" award, acknowledging their exemplary determination in surmounting personal adversity while exhibiting exceptional professional performance. The award winners cut across departments such as nursing, security, medical transcription, housekeeping, and laboratory services, namely: Gouri De, Treena Das, Piya Ukil, Salge Marandi, Shreshta Samanta, Sefali Paul, Puja Saha, Lalita Halder, Pushpa Mukherjee, and Dolon Ganguly. In addition, women

consultants were awarded. The hospital also celebrated the event with a panel discussion on "Work-Life Balance & Health – A Challenge for Modern Women," with experts such as Gynaecologist Dr Aparupa Ghosh, Medical Oncologists Dr Shreya Mullik and Dr Debanti Banerjee, Psychologist Anushila Dutta, and social activist Nilanjana Chatterjee, moderated by Nursing Director Asima Bhattacharya, bringing forth insightful information on balancing career and personal life while keeping well-being at priority. A cake-cutting ceremony with all the women employees, including the senior management, also marked the occasion, reflecting Desun Hospital's dedication to a friendly and inclusive work culture. Apart from hospital celebrations, Desun Hospital partnered with the Women & Gender Development Cell of St Xavier's University, Kolkata, in organizing a talk on cervical cancer and its issues, where Dr. Sreya Mullik engaged with students and faculty members, and set up a health check-up camp, going beyond their employees to the cause of women's health.
