News Desk, News Nation 360 : With a lavish Poila Baisakh buffet that featured a traditional feast that encapsulated the authentic flavours of Bengal, Five & Dime brought the spirit of Bengali New Year to life. At Rs. 1199, the special menu combined traditional Bengali food with a festive setting, creating a memorable dining experience. Speaking about the celebration, Apeksha Lahiri, owner of Five & Dime, stated that for Bengalis, Poila Baisakh is more than just a holiday; it's an emotion. It's a fresh start, full of happiness, hope, and delicious cuisine, of course. They aimed to create an experience at Five & Dime that embodies the rich history of Bengali food. They hope that their Poila Baisakh buffet will become a yearly tradition because it was more than simply a feast; it was a

celebration of their culture. Five & Dime in Kolkata celebrated Poila Baisakh with a special buffet that included a range of salads and chaats such as green salad, mustard cucumber carrot, puchka, pickled onion, and palak patta chaat. Vegetarian starters were vegetable chop, narkol chana satay, kumro fuler bora, and enchorer doi bora, while non-vegetarian starters were egg devil, fish cutlet, kanchalonka chicken paturi, and live tawa fish fry. The lunch featured luchi, basanti pulao, steamed rice, cholar dal, monohora dal, begun bhaja, jhuri aloo bhaja, and the staple Bengali dishes of enchor dalna, channa koraishuti, lau ghonto, desi murgir jhol, mutton dakbunglow, and shile bata chingri, served with kancha aam chutney and papad. The lunch finished with a selection of Bengali sweets including mishti doi, chaler payesh, rajbhog, sandesh, and paan. This holiday buffet could only be had on April 15th during the day.
