For Better Voice and Data Connectivity, Airtel Turbo Charges its Network in Kolkata

News Desk, News Nation 360 : One of the top telecom service providers in India, Bharti Airtel (or "Airtel"), said that it has finished deploying the extra spectrum it purchased in July 2024. Airtel's 5G/4G network capacity will increase with the deployment of an extra 5MHz on the 1800 band. This will improve and enhance data speeds and offer noticeably greater coverage inside houses and buildings. At the just-finished Spectrum Auction, Bharti Airtel won 97 Mhz of the spectrum. It extended its Sub-GHz spectrum and effectively combined its fractured spectrum blocks into a continuous spectrum in addition to regaining the expired spectrum holdings. To its credit, Airtel has the largest mid-band spectrum pool. With a variety of spectrum holdings in the 900, 1800, 2100, and 2300 bands, the business is well-positioned to meet the expanding need for 5G and 4G networks that will enable high-speed data services. To accommodate the increasing demand for data, it has also recently begun re-farming mid-band spectrum for 5G. With the completion of the extra spectrum deployment, consumers in Kolkata, Greater Kolkata, Howrah, and Hooghly will experience improved voice and data quality. As the need for connection continues to climb dramatically, the deployment will also enable Airtel to expand its footprint and offer wider coverage along highways and rail routes.
