News Desk, News Nation 360 : India has made significant scientific progress in the fight against diseases spread by mosquitoes. Researchers at Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) and its partner have created the most effective liquid vapourizer formulation for mosquito control, "Renofluthrin," which is India's first locally developed and patented molecule. It takes around ten years for new molecule formulations to become more effective against mosquitoes. Many Indians turned to extremely effective repellent formats, like incense sticks made with illegal and unregistered Chinese-developed molecules, after more than 15 years had passed since the last innovation. Additionally, this has led to an illegal and unregistered influx of Chinese-developed repellent molecules into India through a variety of channels. Compared to other registered formulations in liquid vapouriser format currently available in India, formulations made with renouthrin are 2X more effective against mosquitoes. The Central Insecticide Board and Registration Committee's (CIB&RC) thorough testing and approval attest to its effectiveness and safety. The most effective liquid vapouriser in India, the Goodknight Flash, is getting the Renofluthrin formulation from GCPL, the industry leader in household insecticides. Launching safe and efficient new molecule formulations has always been GCPL's speciality. To develop "Renofluthrin" and its formulations, GCPL and its partner made significant investments in research and development over more than ten years. A partner's patent grants GCPL the sole right to use this molecule in India for a moderate amount of time.
