News Desk, News Nation 360 : Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) honoured Nitin Gadkari, Hon. Minister for Road Transport & Highways, Government of India, with the introduction of E-Gurukul, an innovative digital road safety learning platform. This program underscores HMSI's dedication to promoting road safety in India. Honda's E-Gurukul platform addresses road safety education with age-specific modules for three different target groups: 5-8 years old (7 minutes), 9-15 years old (9 minutes), and 16-18 years old (7 minutes). Being aware of the fact that it is not all-inclusive, the modules are currently available in multiple languages, including Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and English, to address different regions in India. It seeks to offer live streams to Tier-1 cities and downloadable content for tier-2 cities whose connectivity might not be optimal for live streams. Multi-lingual modules enable better reach for this curriculum to educate vast segments across Indian demographics on the way forward to cultivate road safety. The link for access to the E-Gurukul portal is available at egurukul.honda.hmsi.in. Commenting on the initiative, Vinay Dhingra, Senior Director - HR & Administration, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India; Trustee, Honda India Foundation, stated that the foundation of HMSI's CSR vision is road safety. Their goal with E-Gurukul is to make road safety education modules easily accessible to a wide range of age groups, with a particular focus on fostering a good attitude towards road safety in young children. In addition to becoming good drivers, these young road safety advocates will encourage their parents and relatives to follow suit. Another step towards Honda's global goal of zero road fatalities by 2050 is the introduction of E-Gurukul.
