Important Appointments to Executive Positions at DBS Bank India

Ambuj Chandna is the Managing Director and Head of the Consumer Banking Group of DBS Bank India, replacing Prashant Joshi. Before this, Ambuj Chandna was the President and Head of Consumer Assets of Kotak Mahindra Bank. Additionally, Santanu Mitra has been made the Managing Director and Country Head of Corporate Banking for large and mid-corporate firms at DBS Bank India. Santanu Mitra was formerly the Managing Director and Head of the Digital Economy Group under Institutional Banking at DBS Bank Singapore. These appointments

reflect leadership changes for important functions within DBS Bank India. DBS Bank India has announced the appointment of Ambuj Chandna as Managing Director & Head of Consumer Banking Group, replacing Prashant Joshi; Ambuj was earlier President & Head of Consumer Assets at Kotak Mahindra Bank and brings close to three decades of banking experience to manage retail banking, wealth offering (DBS Treasures), digital banking, and customer engagement at DBS Bank India, having also worked in senior roles at ING Vysya Bank, Fullerton Financial Holdings, and Citibank, with an MBA from the Institute of Management Studies, Indore, and a Master of Science degree from Henley Business School, London. Also, Santanu Mitra, former Managing Director and Head of Digital Economy Group, Institutional Banking, at DBS Bank Singapore since 2014, has been named Managing Director & Country Head Corporate Banking (Large and Midcap) at DBS Bank India, overseeing the institutional banking business targeting large and mid-corporates and MNCs, based on his two-decade experience with a critical contribution in the TMT segment and establishing the Digital Economy business, with earlier leadership positions at PT AXIS Telekom Indonesia and Macquarie Bank, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and a Bachelor of Technology (Honors) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, in appointments intended to strengthen DBS Bank India's core business functions.
