In a Lively Session, Chhaya Animal Hospital Promotes Animal Welfare

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Recently in Kolkata, Chhaya Animal Hospital successfully held its interactive session, "Embrace Compassion - Giving a Voice to the Voiceless," under the auspices of the registered trust People for the Respect n Care of Animals (PRCA). The occasion brought attention to the remarkable work that Chhaya Animal Hospital does in West Bengal to treat and house sick, abused, and abandoned animals. Animal lovers, carers, and supporters from the government and civil society came together at Chhaya's event to learn about the hospital's many services and its impact since its founding in 2008. Encompassing 40,000 square feet of built-up area, the hospital boasts cutting-edge amenities like an operating room, 66 well-ventilated kennels, and solar-powered utilities, all of which contribute to providing the best possible

treatment for the more than 100,000 animals it has seen to date. Dilip Doshi, a former cricket player; Raju Bharat, CMD of Kenilworth Hotels; Utsav Parekh, Chairman, SMIFS, Capital Markets Limited; Gaurang Jalan, a filmmaker and national award winner; Bickram Ghosh, a maestro tabla player; Alokananda Roy, a dancer and social activist; Dr V. R. Ramanan, Director, Peerless Group of Hospitals; Debasis Kumar, MLA; Rajiv Gujral, Former Director, Taj International Hotels; Manish Hemani, Coordinator, Arham Yuva Seva Group, Parasdham Kolkata; Samit Malhotra, an athlete and Commonwealth Games medal winner and businessman; Viren Sohanraj Singhvi, Chairman, Singhvi Charitable Trust, Businessman & many other notable figures were present at the event. Presentations about Chhaya's current initiatives were given throughout the event. These included the extensive CNVR (Catch, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return) program, which neuters about 200 canines per month, and their ground-breaking Gaushala program for injured cows and horses.
