
News Desk, News Nation 360 : In honour of its students' academic accomplishments, JIS University held its fifth convocation event on campus. Professor Partha Pratim Majumder, National Science Chair, Science & Engineering Board, Government of India; Dr. Ramji Singh, Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS Kalyani; Prof. Kaustuv Sanyal, Director, Bose Institute, Kolkata; Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director, JIS Group; and Prof. Bhabes Bhattacharya, Vice Chancellor, JIS University, were among the distinguished dignitaries who graced the convocation. Deans, faculty, directors, and other university representatives attended the ceremony with them. It was a historic event for both teachers and students when Prof. Bhabes Bhattacharya delivered the convocation report. JIS

University conducted its convocation ceremony, beginning with a grand academic procession and formal inauguration, during which 956 students were awarded degrees and diplomas, including 648 Undergraduate, 221 Postgraduate, 75 Diploma, and 12 PhD degrees, and 43 gold, 32 silver, and 25 bronze medals for academic excellence awards; Dr. Shayeri Biswas was awarded the PhD-Gold Medal (Best Research Credentials) for her outstanding research in Science from CIS, Prajana Banerjee was awarded the Chancellor's Gold Medal (Undergraduate) for her BSc. (Hons.) in Biochemistry, and Puspita Sikder was awarded the Chancellor's Gold Medal (Postgraduate) for her M.Pharm. in Quality Assurance; also, the University Blue award was awarded to Pratyasa Bandyopadhyay and Pranav Goenka for their performance in Physics and Business Administration, respectively, with degrees and honors being awarded across faculties including Engineering & Technology, Management Studies, Pharmacy, Science, Education, Juridical Sciences, Hospitality & Hotel Administration, JISIASR, and Agriculture. Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director, JIS Group, stated that their goal at JIS University is to create an atmosphere that values quality, creativity, and knowledge. Their students have reached a major turning point with this convocation, and they are now prepared to face the difficulties of the outside world.
