KCLF 2025 Commenced with a Grand Opening by Tanusree Shankar and Shashi Panja

News Desk, News Nation 360 : The 2nd edition of the Kolkata Children’s Literature Festival (KCLF) was officially inaugurated in Kolkata. The occasion was graced by Dr Shashi Panja, Hon’ble Minister of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare of West Bengal, and Tanusree Shankar, a renowned Indian dancer and choreographer. The Kolkata Children's Literature Festival (KCLF) 2025, which was inaugurated in January 2024, has grown remarkably in its second year. The inauguration ceremony was attended by dignitaries such as Jaideep Patwa, School Secretary of SPK Jain Futuristic Academy, and Lalit Kankaria, President of the academy, whose leadership has been instrumental in fostering a thriving environment for creative and intellectual pursuits with Kusum Patwa, Sonal Choraria, Shashi Kankaria, and Trishla Bhansali. On the occasion, there were Sardarmal Kankariaji, President of Shwetambar Sthanakvasi Jain Sabha and other luminaries such as Pannalal Kocharji, Surendra Banthiaji, Binod Minniji, Ashok Minniji, and Pradip Patwaji, all who have done commendable work to take the social cause of education and culture to a newer dimension. KCLF has become a dynamic platform within which children, educators, authors, and illustrators converge to delve into the enchanting realm of literature. Based on the success of its inaugural year, this year's festival presents an even more captivating array of activities that are carefully designed to ignite curiosity and spark imagination in young minds. The inaugural event saw enthusiastic turnouts that reflect the palpable excitement surrounding this year's festival. KCLF 2025 continues on January 11 and 12, inviting children and families to embark on a captivating journey of literary discovery and creative exploration. Speaking at the event, Dr Jayeeta Ganguly, Principal of SPK Jain Futuristic Academy, remarked that stories, not atoms, make up the cosmos. Stories are essential in forming who people truly are because they inspire creativity, ethics, and dreams. Their goal with KCLF is to encourage a lifetime love of storytelling and create a community where kids can relate to stories that uplift, inform, and empower them.
