News Desk, News Nation 360 : At the sacred grounds of Gaudiya Math in Bagbazar, Dev Entertainment Ventures released the reimagined version of "Hori Mon Mojaye" from their upcoming film Binodiini-Ekti Natir Upakhyan, an iconic composition by famous theatrical writer Late Shri Girish Chandra Ghosh. Director Ram Kamal Mukherjee, singer Suchismita Chakraborty, and Rukmini Maitra, the lead actress in Binodiini, graced the occasion. The masterpiece "Hori Mon Mojaye" by Girish Chandra Ghosh first adorned the stage when performed by the great Binodini Dasi while portraying Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in "Chaitanya Leela." The composer was composing such works at a time when the British government restricted any play containing themes of revolution, and hence the creative outburst for devotional themes resulted in eternal masterpieces such as this one. Suchismita Chakraborty's soulful voice has brought the song back to life in this contemporary remake, as the music is a beautiful amalgamation of the original Kirtan style of Ghosh with the cinematic score re-arranged by the talented duo Sourendro-Soumyojit. The combination creates a scintillating auditory experience and brings a great contrast between the rich heritage of Bengali theatre and the modern soundscape. Director Ram Kamal Mukherjee stated that time does not apply to Hori Mon Mojaye. It serves as a link between the cinematic excellence we strive for and the heartfelt spirit of Bengali theatre. Suchismita's voice and Sourendro-Soumyojit's sumptuous arrangement masterfully convey the song's crucial scene in the screenplay, which shows Binodini Dasi's profound contact with Ramakrishna Paramhansa Deb.
