News Desk, News Nation 360 : The Creative Arts in Kolkata successfully hosted the eagerly awaited premiere of Urban Chronicles 4, the most recent instalment in Nita Bajoria's critically acclaimed Urban Chronicles series. A distinguished group of authors and artists attended, resulting in an evening full of thought-provoking conversations, festivities, and contemplations on the changing terrain of urban storytelling. Written by Kalamos and distributed only by Westland Books, "Urban Chronicles 4" is an exciting graphic novel anthology with three poignant short stories, almost unmovingly close to the insights of urban life. For being beautifully presented in visual formats, these narratives give readers a fresh take on human existence, exploring themes of identity, relationships, and survival in modern urban environments. The launch event witnessed the book launch and was supplemented by an interactive panel discussion about the interface between
graphic novels, literature, and urban culture. Kolkata-based author and graphic novelist Nita Bajoria spoke about the inspiration and creative process behind "Urban Chronicles 4." The panellists discussed the role of visual art in contemporary literature and how the graphic novel format is evolving as a powerful medium for reflecting the realities of the world we live in, offering a unique and impactful way to engage with stories and explore the human condition. An exceptional lineup of luminaries who graced the launch event such as Alokananda Roy, Dance Educationist and Choreographer who served as the Chief Guest and highlighted the importance of art in capturing the complexities of urban life, Harsho Mohan Chattoraj, Renowned Graphic Novelist, shared his insights on the evolving role of graphic novels in contemporary storytelling, Ramanjit Kaur, International award-winning Theatre Director and Artpreneur moderated the event through a thought-provoking discussion on the role of art in shaping public consciousness along with Namit Bajoria, MD Kutchina and Husband of Author, Pranay Poddar, Honorary Consul of Republic of Kenya, Arunabha Karmakar, Painter, Siddhartha Sen, Author, Vidhi Beri, Health and Wellness Coach & many other eminent personalities.
