News Desk, News Nation 360 : "Payments Ka Powerplay" is a new card advocacy campaign that Mastercard has launched as part of its ongoing efforts to make commerce safer and smarter. During the campaign, which runs from October 1 to October 15, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, a former captain of the Indian cricket team and brand ambassador for Mastercard, appears in six advertisements that highlight the advantages of using cards, including chargebacks, security, and purchase protection for cardholders. As part of the "Payments Ka Powerplay" campaign, Mastercard has also launched the "Score Kya Hai" program, which aims to entice cardholders to use contactless payments over the holiday season to win thrilling prizes. The top contactless transactor can play cricket with Dhoni in a friendly match. The campaign empowers cardholders to confidently use their cards to make payments by using engaging cricket analogies. To clarify contactless payments and dispel myths regarding their safety, one analogy compares the width of a cricket bat to the four-centimetre range in which contactless transactions can take place. Chargebacks are also playfully compared to the Decision Review System (DRS), a cricket technology that assists on-field umpires in making accurate calls. Through content synergies with popular TV series, YouTube, and over-the-top (OTT) platforms, as well as retail activation, creative OOH, and social media channels, the ads will be broadcast on television and digital platforms. Gautam Aggarwal, Division President, South Asia at Mastercard stated that by urging cardholders to use digital payment methods that are incredibly easy, safe, and lucrative, the "Payments Ka Powerplay" campaign aims to transform Indian business. Mastercard has enlisted MS Dhoni, one of India's most well-known cricket players, to promote the advantages of card usage to the general public because cricket is a significant love of consumers nationwide. This project will help dispel myths about card payments, encourage the use of card control settings, and raise a general understanding of the advantages of tokenised transactions, among other things.
