Speakers at yesterday's first session emphasised Odisha's increasing significance as the nation's centre for steel production. In addition to completed steel, Odisha is making significant progress in its supply of iron ore. With 23 million tonnes supplied until September of the current fiscal year, Odisha Mining Corp has surpassed NMDC Ltd to become the nation's largest iron ore dispatching business. OMC plans to ship around 40 million tonnes for the entire year FY25. MD and CEO of mjunction services limited, Vinaya Varma stated that with a quarter of India's total steel production, Odisha is quickly becoming known as the "steel Hub" of the country. At its Kalinganagar complex in Odisha, Tata Steel has put India's largest blast furnace into service. The majority of the 120 million tonnes of steel capacity that the nation will soon have is located in Odisha. Additionally, the blast furnace pathway accounts for 66% of this capacity.
