Nanighar was created in 2019 by entrepreneur Debjani Mookherjee to empower housewives who have a love of cooking. Nanighar was founded to utilise people's culinary talents to empower people, particularly mothers and homemakers. It has been effective in turning skilled home cooks into self-employed business owners. Fresh food is prepared by mom chefs and home chefs. Many of them go grocery shopping every day to make sure they have fresh ingredients and nothing pre-cooked, as the Nanighar app suggests. This time, a few Nanighar chefs will be taking orders in real-time for the most basic meals, and the food will be delivered via the Zomato app within an hour. It has been carefully chosen to accommodate office orders and people with hectic schedules. Additionally, it maintains the pre-booking model currently in place by providing a variety of chef moms to serve the patrons. Additionally, a reservation is required for elaborate dishes such as Echorer Dalna, Chital Macher Muithya, Mutton Dak Bungalow, Biryani, Mughlai Paratha, Ilish Bhapa, Bhetki Paturi, and others.
