Narayana Hospital Howrah Hosted Breast Cancer Survivors Meet and Awareness Programme during World Breast Cancer Awareness Month

News Desk, News Nation 360 : To raise awareness of breast cancer and honour perseverance, Narayana Hospital in Howrah hosted a Breast Cancer Survivors Meet and Awareness Program that brought together community members, medical professionals, and survivors. In honour of World Breast Cancer Awareness Month, this special event sought to raise awareness of early detection, encourage survivors, and stress the value of routine screenings. The show included motivational survivor stories, interactive breast health lessons, and advice from professionals on self-examinations, early detection, and prevention. To build a sense of community and shared resilience, participants got the chance to interact with oncologists, counsellors, and other survivors. The program demonstrated Narayana Hospital's dedication to raising awareness of cancer and providing all-encompassing care for patients with breast cancer. Dr Neha Chaudhary, Consultant - Breast Oncology & Oncoplastic Surgeon, Narayana Hospital, Howrah, shared that this served as a reminder of both the advancements in breast cancer treatment and the fortitude and resiliency of the survivors. This is a survivors' meet, where people who have survived breast cancer come together to share their stories of success and experiences. They brought them here to share their own stories. This kind of event has two purposes. Their primary goal is to inform people who might not be familiar with breast cancer about its symptoms, including lumps, discharge from the nipples, and retracted nipples, as well as how to do self-examinations and what to do if these indicators emerge. Secondly, they aid in debunking misconceptions and anxieties related to breast cancer. Hearing firsthand accounts from survivors encourages bravery and enables others to see that they, too, can confront and conquer this obstacle.
