News Desk, News Nation 360 : The first-ever Hack-O-NiT, an overnight hackathon organised by the Narula Institute of Technology, came to an end successfully, ushering in a new era of technological innovation. Dignitaries such as Soujit Das, Senior Manager, Incubation & Portfolio Management, IIM – Calcutta; Prof (Dr) N.R. Bandyopadhyay, Professor & Former Head, Dr M.N. Dastur School of Materials Science IIEST, Shibpur and Former Chairman, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering Division Board, The Institution of Engineers (India); Abhay Agarwal, Chartered Accountant; Arijit Das, Co-Founder and Director at Aeonix Research & Innovations LLP; Sambhu Nath Surai, ITA (Information Technology Analyst) in TCS and Co-founder of ATX Extention, Robotics Technology were among the dignitaries present at the event. Over ninety teams sent in their prototypes and ideas. 18 teams competed in the Grand Finale out of the 70 teams that were screened in the second round. Participating in the event were student teams from various colleges in West Bengal, including Adamas University, Techno Main Salt Lake, Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Serampore, Techno International, New Town, JIS College of Engineering, Gurunanak Institute of Technology, Asansol Engineering College, and Narula Institute of Technology. Future technocrats enthusiastically participated in Hack-O-NiT, the Narula Institute of Technology's inaugural overnight hackathon. The event offered an environment conducive to innovation and collaboration in a practical setting, with problem statements covering a wide range of domains, including Health Care, Automation & IoT, Cloud Computing, Knowledge Management, New Gen Games, Infrastructure, Telecom, and Open Innovation. Kritanj 2024 included a variety of competitions centred on robotics, coding, elektron, Apt Venture, mechanical, civil engineering, and management games in addition to the Hack-O-NiT. These contests drew some of the most brilliant minds in the state by showcasing the inventiveness and technical proficiency of participants. Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Simarpreet Singh, Director of JIS Group, stated that the accomplishments of their students and the creative solutions that were displayed at Kritanj 2024 and Hack-O-NiT fill us with great pride. This type of event fosters meaningful collaboration between participants from diverse backgrounds in addition to showcasing creativity and technical excellence.
