News Desk, News Nation 360 : From January 13 to 20, 2025, the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB) is excited to host the 8th Edition of the Penang Roadshow to India 2025 themed "Discover Penang" across four major Indian cities: Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, and Chennai. Each city attracts around 200 travel buyers and 30 media representatives, fostering valuable engagement and collaboration within the Indian market. Since its inception in 2017, this annual event has continued to thrive, even during the COVID-19 pandemic when it was held virtually for two years in a row. The roadshow highlights PCEB's dedication to fortifying relationships with the Indian market, a major player in Penang's tourism and business events sectors. One of the major

highlights of this year's roadshow is the fact that IndiGo Airlines has launched direct flights between Chennai and Penang. This makes travel very easy and offers many new opportunities to business as well as leisure travellers. With such direct connectivity and Chennai is a major hub, travellers from the 32 domestic cities of India get seamless access to Penang. Moreover, the accommodating 30kg baggage policy makes these flights incredibly attractive to corporate as well as leisure passengers. Besides this, Malaysia further enhanced the facility of travel by extending its visa-free entry for Indian nationals up to 31 December 2026. Under this policy, the Indian visitor can stay in Malaysia visa-free for up to 30 days which would really ease the process of traveling into Malaysia and will further strengthen Malaysia's position as Indian tourists' primary destination. These combined efforts, including the new direct flights and the extended visa exemption, are expected to boost tourism from India to Penang by a considerable amount. Ace Conferences & Exhibitions, Apollo Holidays Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Asian Overland Services Tours and Travel Sdn Bhd, By The Blanket, dQuest Ventures, G Hotel, Jeya Berjaya Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd, Lone Pine, Penang - A Tribute Portfolio Resort, Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre, Mitways Transport & Tours Sdn Bhd, Oscar Holidays Sdn Bhd, Tourism Malaysia, and IndiGo Airlines are among the roadshow's impressive lineup of exhibitors from throughout Malaysia. Their involvement demonstrates how Malaysia's tourism and business events industries are working together to reach the Indian market.
