Redefining Urban Mobility in India, Europe, and the GCC with SWITCH Mobility

News Desk, News Nation 360 : As a prominent producer of electric buses and light commercial vehicles, SWITCH Mobility Ltd., a division of Ashok Leyland and a member of the Hinduja Group, today showcased its cutting-edge electric bus platform, SWITCH EiV12, the low floor electric city bus for the Indian market. With its scalable battery capacity of more than 400 kWh, it is the first low-floor city bus in India with chassis-mounted batteries. SWITCH Mobility, a subsidiary of Ashok Leyland and part of the Hinduja Group, has unveiled its contemporary electric bus platform, SWITCH EiV12, a low-floor electric city bus designed specifically for the Indian market. The SWITCH EiV12, launched by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon'ble Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India, in the presence of Ashok P. Hinduja, Chairman of the Hinduja Group, and other dignitaries, is India's first low-floor city bus with chassis-mounted batteries, featuring a scalable battery capacity of over 400+ kWh. Simultaneously, SWITCH Mobility also forayed into the European market by flagging off the SWITCH E1 electric bus in Spain. Both the buses share common design philosophies and EV architecture. The indigenously designed, developed, and manufactured SWITCH EiV12 platform sets global standards in performance, safety, reliability, and comfort. With seating for up to 39 passengers, the SWITCH EiV12 leads its segment, offering maximum revenue potential for operators. During the launch of these automobiles, Ashok P. Hinduja, Chairman of the Hinduja Group of Companies (India), watched. These buses pay homage to the Prime Minister's "Made in India, for India and the World" philosophy. The amazing road infrastructure that is developing in India, thanks to visionaries like Modi Ji and implementers like Gadkari Ji, is the motivation for Switch Mobility's decision to introduce newer cars with cutting-edge technology and zero carbon emissions.
