
News Desk, News Nation 360 : The Income Tax Department stepped up to support the nationwide blood donation campaign, which saves lives. In keeping with the motto, "Donate Blood, Save Lives," and in response to the growing demand for blood throughout the summer, the Income Tax Department staff willingly gave blood. A successful blood donation campaign at large was carried out in nine centres in West Bengal and Sikkim, namely, in seven offices of Income Tax within Kolkata and some other offices at Asansol and Siliguri on 21st February 2025, organized by the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, West Bengal and Sikkim Region. The campaign was launched by A. K. Singh, Commissioner of Income Tax (Administration), and Mohit Mrinal, Commissioner of Income Tax (OSD), who donated blood, leading by example and setting a strong precedent for others to follow. This life-saving initiative saw a strong turnout, with a large number of officials, officers, and civic volunteers willingly coming forward to donate blood, reflecting a high level of community and public welfare

consciousness. The two Commissioners warmly thanked the contributors for their generosity, highlighting the vital role of this initiative in helping to meet urgent healthcare requirements. In addition, they made a strong call to action, calling upon all the employees of the Income Tax Department to contribute actively and become a part of such noble initiatives that have a direct impact on the common people, thus reaffirming the department's image as a responsible and empathetic organization in society.
