News Desk, News Nation 360 : The esteemed task of creating the ceremonial dress for Team India at the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024 has fallen to Tasva, the men's Indian wear brand by Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. and renowned designer Tarun Tahiliani. In the presence of Dr PT Usha, President of the Indian Olympics Association, the Hon. Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, unveiled the Official Ceremonial Dress for Team India. The female athletes will don an exquisite saree with ikat-inspired digitally printed panels in saffron and green, blue buttonholes symbolising the Ashoka Chakra, and an ivory base signifying peace and unity. The male athletes of Team India will wear kurta bundi sets at the opening ceremony. Modern trainers embellished with traditional Benares brocade finish the ensemble, artfully fusing traditional and modern design elements. Tarun Tahiliani, Chief Design Officer, Tasva, shared at the Kit Unveiling ceremony that they worked closely with the Indian Olympic Association to create clothing that tells a story about India, and they are immensely honoured to be dressing Team India. The clothing's design balances functionality and comfort with an eye-catching aesthetic. The light, breezy clothing is ideal for July's summertime heat in Paris, when their athletes arrive on a barge along the Seine for the opening ceremony.
