Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata's International Event Ambassador is Sol Campbell

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Premier League player Sol Campbell has been named the 2024 Tata Steel World 25K (TSW 25K) International Event Ambassador. International athletes have joined the rapidly growing West Bengal running scene, adding another gem to the world's first World Athletics Gold Label 25K. Tottenham Hotspur youth system product Sol Campbell threw a shocker about many with his move to their arch-rivals Arsenal in season 2001. This bold move brought to the end Campbell's career as one targeted for success on the playing field, as it went into the annals as one of the most talked about transfers in the history of the Premier League. Campbell was a big factor in the earlier part of the historic undefeated season by Arsenal in the 2003-04 season, after forming part of their famous "Invincibles" team. Campbell is an international footballer. He has represented England at several major international tournaments and has been capped more than 70 times. Outside the game, Campbell is a vocal advocate for diversity and equality in football. He argues that there is a gross

imbalance between football coaching and leadership that is coloured. His career epitomizes a person's personality, leadership, and excellence-almost the same feelings that TSW 25K instils, such as pride, inclusion, and commitment. He is one of the most recognisable and adaptable defenders in football at the age of fifty. Campbell was a leader who epitomised strength and resilience. He was well-known for his enormous bulk, commanding presence, and exceptional football knowledge. Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President, Corporate Services, at Tata Steel, stated that Kolkata is a city that loves football, and Sol Campbell's association gives it more energy. His discipline, tenacity, and athleticism reflect the values and reputation of TSW 25K. Having him in the camp is a plus.
