The 16th Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival Features the Book Keep Moving by Milind Soman and Ankita Konwar

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Fitness legends Ankita Konwar and Milind Soman enthralled listeners with an uplifting conversation on their book, Keep Moving, during the 16th Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival (AKLF). The healthy pair spoke with Neeta Sreedharan, the AKLF Programming Head, about obstacles, overcoming addictions, marathons, health, and fitness. With the help of three generations—Milind, his wife Ankita, and his mother—the book Keep Moving tells the stories of their diverse journeys to discover what works for them individually, whether it be in terms of diet, exercise, or overcoming mental and physical obstacles. It demonstrates their steadfast belief that one is the only expert when it comes to their body. Milind and Ankita both mentioned how much they loved Kolkata, praising its lively culture, diverse population, and mouthwatering desserts. The duo stressed that although the body may slow down with age, the mind never stops growing, and they alluded to the prospect of authoring another book in the future. The session discusses broader issues from society to how fitness is becoming inclusive. Pinkathon's founder, Milind Soman, passionately argued how women's fitness was held up by the barriers of society from exercising freely as men. In his opinion, Pinkathon could challenge all that by making exercise a safe zone and judgment-free for women in society. Ankita shared her journey as a runner and the profound discovery of self. She spoke at length about how running had tested her physical endurance, but it also tied her to her heritage and to the inner strength she possessed. Her inspiring words struck a chord with the audience, reminding them that tough times are only for a moment and that brighter days are always just ahead.
