News Desk, News Nation 360 : Nephro Care India Limited (NCIL), a multispecialty healthcare organisation supported by Deepak Parekh, opened its sixth renal care unit in Shyambazar, on the city's northern outskirts, to meet the state's increasing need for sophisticated diagnostic and pharmaceutical assistance for kidney patients. Nine units will be created throughout the state's several districts as part of plans to improve the overall number of renal care clinics to 22 by March 2026. Many Indians nowadays suffer from chronic kidney disorders, and early identification is essential to ensure effective treatment, according to Dr Pratim Sengupta, senior nephrologist and founder, MD, and CEO of Nephro Care India. To prevent kidney disease, detect it early, and provide comprehensive renal care, NCIL, which went public on the NSE Emerge platform in July 2024, has been working on several projects. Dr. Sashi Panja, State Industries Minister and Minister of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare, attended the opening of the Shyambazar unit. NCIL, the renal care specialist healthcare provider, has superior solutions ranging from clinical care to lifestyle orientation, and even spiritual support for renal-insufficiency patients. To make renal care more accessible and affordable, the company has joined hands with the National Institute of Technology, Silchar, in developing an innovative AI-enabled Smart Haemodialysis Machine. This remotely monitored machine, once developed, is expected to reduce the cost of haemodialysis treatment significantly. These machines currently range from Rs 7.5-8 lakh, but the AI-powered prototype aims to bring the cost down by a whopping 70-75%, making it more affordable at around Rs 2 lakh. This technology will be a breakthrough in renal care because it can make it more accessible to a wider segment of the population, improve treatment outcomes, and enhance the quality of life for patients with kidney disease.
