The First Advanced Flagship Residential Program will be Unveiled by ICAI in Hyderabad

News Desk, News Nation 360 : To promote the accounting profession and establish India as a world leader in the accounting and finance industry, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced several significant projects and accomplishments for the year. The ICAI launched its first Advanced Flagship Program, Empowering Trusted Advisors – Unlocking the Potential of Family Enterprises (Residential), at its state-of-the-art research hub at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Hyderabad during a press conference. As part of its expansion plan, two CoEs currently function through ICAI- that includes one at Hyderabad, the other at Jaipur with the third slated at Kolkata in January 2025 and eight others at places across the country by the next three years that work together towards fostering research innovation and skill-building in areas. The first residential program, scheduled from January 7th to 11th, 2025, is designed to equip Chartered Accountants with specialized expertise to address the unique needs of family businesses. Key takeaways include a deeper understanding of family enterprises, the ability to deliver tailored solutions aligning family and business objectives, and strategies for establishing themselves as trusted, long-term advisors. It will be led by Dr Nupur Pavan Bang, who was recently appointed CoE Director-cum-Dean at the Hyderabad Centre of Excellence, along with an esteemed faculty that would comprise Anil Sainani, the Managing Partner of BAF Consultants; Gutta Nivedita Chowdary, a Training Coordinator at CAMP Arbitration & Mediation Pvt. Ltd.; herself; and Tara Ollapally, Co-founder of CAMP Arbitration & Mediation Practice Pvt. Ltd. This program offers Chartered Accountants the opportunity to learn from industry leaders, practically engage in case studies, and develop long-term strategies on how to become trusted advisors to family enterprises. Speaking to the media, CA Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal, President of ICAI, shared his vision for the future of the profession and stated that ICAI is aware that the field of chartered accounting has undergone significant change in these changing times, particularly with the introduction of artificial intelligence and digitisation. Continuous skill development is crucial to staying relevant in this changing environment. In addition to the well-known, reliable, and error-proof assessment system, the Institute is making every effort to deliver the greatest instruction and training possible, measured against international standards.
