News Desk, News Nation 360 : With more than 800 schools around Asia, the Narayana Group has announced the opening of its first two international schools in India, both of which will be in Kolkata. This is a significant turning point in the organization's mission to give Indian children access to top-notch education. Located in Ramchandrapur and Khidderpore, the two schools would generate around 392 jobs in the area with a total investment of ₹26 crore. The Narayana International Schools are planned with a vision of providing modern, holistic learning for the students. The Ramchandrapur campus has 2 acres of space to accommodate more than 1,000 students from Nursery to Grades 9 and 11. The Khidderpore campus, covering 1.5 acres, can accommodate up to 800 students from Nursery to Grade 8. Both campuses boast state-of-the-art infrastructure, including smart classrooms, advanced laboratories, and facilities for sports and performing arts, thus promoting all-around student development. In line with the vision of the Narayana Group, schools emphasize academic excellence with new teaching methodologies such as project-based learning, STREAM education, and immersive classroom experiences. The students will get exposure to leading tech companies, startups, and industries to provide them with practical knowledge and real-world exposure. Schools will use the Pedagogy method of teaching, which will involve interactive and student-centred learning through active participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving. It would adopt the project-based learning method that provides hands-on activities, interactive sessions, and collaboration between students. Safety and wellbeing are of paramount importance to the school with a ratio of 1:20 between teachers and students and state-of-the-art security systems, regular drills on safety, and physical as well as mental wellbeing including access to dietitians, psychologists, and wellness programs. Speaking on this, Subramanyam Ponguru, Chairman of Narayana International Schools, stated that their goal is to give kids a supportive environment that encourages growth, learning, and creativity. At Narayana International Schools, they build well-rounded people who are prepared to take on the challenges of the future by fusing academic rigour with possibilities in technology, athletics, and the arts. They can't wait to realise this ambition in Kolkata.
