News Desk, News Nation 360 : As per the announcement made by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), the inaugural Bengal Pro T20 League is scheduled to commence on June 11, 2024. The Kolkata Royal Tigers are owned by the Lux Industries & Shyam Steel Consortium, the Howrah Warriors are owned by Adamas, and the remaining teams are divided between the Rashmi Group, the Lux Industries & Shyam Steel Consortium, and the others. Highlights include notable Indian women players Deepti Sharma, Dhara Gujjar, and Richa Ghosh among the women leaders, and men team captains Anustup Majumdar, Shahbaz Ahmed, Manoj Tiwary, Mukesh Kumar, and Abhimanyu Easwaran. Eight teams competing in the men's and women's divisions will make up the inaugural Bengal Pro T20 League. The eight teams are named after West Bengali cities and districts: Kolkata, Howrah, Diamond Harbour, Medinipur, Siliguri, Murshidabad, Rarh (which includes the districts of Bardhaman and Birbhum) and Malda. The eight teams will do everything in their power to demonstrate their abilities. The newly established franchise emphasised the team's overarching goal of increasing their involvement in West Bengal's sports industry and using it as a platform to build their brand and reach a larger audience.
