Uber Shikara now allows users to pre-book rides through Uber Reserve, enabling travellers to plan their trips and be completely absorbed in the beauty of Jammu & Kashmir without worrying about last-minute arrangements. With a few taps on the Uber app, riders can book their journey and experience the serene charm of Dal Lake. In a first for these iconic rides, Uber has introduced trip insurance for all Uber Shikara rides, ensuring peace of mind for travellers as they explore Srinagar's breathtaking scenery during the winter travel season. To book an Uber Shikara ride, users have to open the latest version of the Uber app, select 'Shikara Ghat No 16' as both start and end points in the 'Where to' bar, choose Uber Shikara, set a time and date (available only between 10 am and 5 pm), confirm the pick-up location at Ghat 16, and click "Book" to enjoy a seamless ride on the tranquil waters of Dal Lake. Commenting on the launch, Prabhjeet Singh, President of Uber India & South Asia stated that their goal at Uber is to make transportation effortless and magical. Uber Shikara is their modest endeavour to provide tourists with a smooth Shikara ride by fusing technology and culture.
