News Desk, News Nation 360 : Uber just released its 9th edition of its Lost and Found Index, which includes a list of the most commonly forgotten items, the cities with the highest rates of forgetfulness, and the days of the week and seasons when Uber users are most likely to forget things. Mumbai has been declared the most forgetful city in India by Uber's Lost and Found Index for 2024, pushing Delhi, which had been at the top for the last two years. Pune rose to the third position, Bangalore fell to fourth, and Kolkata joined the top five as the fifth most forgetful city. The most frequent things left behind in Ubers in India were bags, earphones, phones, wallets, glasses, keys, and clothes, with passports also being often left in Ubers. Surprisingly, some other rare things left behind in Uber were a wedding saree, a gold biscuit, 25 kilograms of cow ghee, and a cooking stove, depicting the possible hassle of losing such things in a car without a pickup system. Uber's Lost and Found Index is intended to educate riders on in-app choices they have to aid in recovering missing items. Commenting on the Index, Shiva Shailendran, Director - Consumer and Growth, Uber India South Asia, stated that everyone has had the humiliating realisation that they left a valuable item in a taxi. With just a few simple actions in their app, Uber has made it simple to recover misplaced things. They value the confidence their users place in them every time they use Uber, therefore, they think this is the ideal opportunity to provide a brief reminder on how to retrieve misplaced belongings.
