News Desk, News Nation 360 : Vodafone Idea (Vi), a leading telecom provider, said recently that it has received recognition for its outstanding 4G network experience in the West Bengal and Kolkata circles. As mentioned in Opensignal's November 2024 4G Network Experience Report, which looks at 4G customers' experiences with smartphones. Vi provides the best data, voice, video, and gaming experiences in the state, leading the way in all consumer experience metrics. According to the OpenSignal report, Vi demonstrated network superiority in Kolkata and the West Bengal circle, both in West Bengal and Sikkim. The firm achieved the fastest 4G data speeds, including the best video and gaming experiences on 4G, not only in diverse terrains-from challenging mountainous regions to very remote locations but also in very high-density urban areas. Beyond that, the report lists Vi as the number-one performer in the 4G voice app experience, and it is a leader across most consumer experience categories. This recognition is due to continuous network enhancement by Vi, on L900, L1800, and L2100 spectrum bands at over 12,000 4G sites for seamless coverage and faster internet speeds. In the last few months, Vi has added new 900 MHz spectrum layers in more than 6,800 sites for stronger indoor coverage and added a considerable number of new sites for seamless connectivity, with plans to add nearly 1,000 more in the coming months. Having recently achieved a successful Rs. 18,000 crore FPO in April, Vi will invest to increase and enhance its 4G network all over the country and these investments will be significant steps towards superior connectivity in Kolkata and West Bengal.
