DishTV Watcho recently hosted a 'Watcho Storyteller Conclave' in Kolkata to commemorate its launch. A host of accomplished filmmakers and creators, including Prosenjit Chatterjee, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, Prasun Chatterjee, and Indranil Roy Chowdhury, were present during the event. The conclave was divided into three sessions focused on problems and possibilities in the industry of content creation. National award-winning actor and producer Prosenjit Chatterjee elaborates that Watcho can be a game-changer for emerging filmmakers and creators. He says that it is democratizing content distribution. He is excited about the way the platform can connect creators with a global audience and is looking forward to the conclave where he could speak to the new generation of filmmakers. The second session had two directors, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and Prasun Chatterjee, in conversation, who spoke about the changing geography of film and content distribution outside the confines of the box office and OTTs. Manoj Dobhal, CEO & Executive Director of Dish TV India Ltd, stated that they are spearheading a movement with this event that enables artists to break free from conventional limitations and establish direct connections with audiences. Their goal is to develop a welcoming environment where all artists may tell their tales, increasing exposure and strengthening the cultural tapestry of their entertainment sector.
